Background

Quickplay is a media company who's goal is to power TV to every device. Recently acquired by AT&T, their application powers mobile video services for live TV, video on demand (VOD) and radio for companies including AT&T Wireless, Bell Mobility, Verizon Wireless, Motorola Mobility, Rogers Wireless, Blackberry, Sirius XM, and U.S. Cellular.

Our Challenge

We were tasked by Quickplay to bring their advanced content management system (CMS) up to date with UX and UI patterns and styles fit for 2016. Our challenge was to create a web application where content managers can upload, edit, and post content to multiple content provider accounts (such as Bell, HBO, etc.). The user would select the account they wish to manage, add a piece of content, and fill out the corresponding data for that episode, program, or movie. The user can then schedule the new content to be played/streamed live on the selected content provider.

Project Outcomes

As a open service platform, the application ecosystem was created to be open, flexible, and modular. This means that the product is very feature rich and highly customizable. Our design goals were to interpret, organize, and simplify these features into a clean, task-focused user interface. Multiple navigation elements, advanced filters, and dense forms were synthesized into a easy to use and understand experience.
